Hey breeedwards05, I don’t really think there’s a right or wrong side to this conflict. Unless you live in the center of the conflict, I don’t think there’s a lot of credible information to be made. I’m a Chinese-Jewish liberal, so my views may also very well still be biased. Let’s start with a bit of history. Since 1400 BC, Jews have been continuously exiled from every country they’ve tried to enter, all because of anti-semitism making its way into the political systems. In 1948, Jews finally got a place to call home - a small diamond of land, no more than an hour and a half’s drive across. Seven Israels could fit in Minnesota. Surrounded by their holy monuments, they finally felt at home (besides the point at which every surrounding nation launched a war on them). That was also because they were occupying the Muslim holy monuments. You see now, no side is correct. A solution that split Israel equally was attempted, but I will admit Israel’s government is not actually that effective in that aspect. Palestinians are being murdered, and Israelis are bombed daily (look it up if you want). The news sources we see are much less informed and much more biased on this topic particularly because it’s a foreign conflict, unlike BLM and Covid riots. It hurts to say this, but I would actually lay off the topic. I know there’s genocide. It’s just that people have been pushed to extreme measures by this - such so that I have been sent slogans with the message “Hitler was right” or similar things. I really don’t think you’re a bad person, or even remotely anti-Semitic. I just think both sides have suffered enough, and we’re not helping it at all.
